Description: Decently tall and broad shouldered, Rivaron's build speaks to his years as a warrior. His dark eyes look out with a set determination at the world, ready to strike when needs be and observe the rest. His long black hair is often left down to fall over his shoulders, giving him a rather menacing look about him. Though smiles are not his neutral expression, he can fall in to a natural charm when the mood suits him.

Personality: Rivaron takes things very seriously, and often very black or white. You either are, or are not doing as you should be, and he is quick to speak up about it. He enjoys the structure and rule that his patron god is known for, embodying them fully. On a rare occasion, Rivaron has been known to turn on the charm and use the more appealing corners of his personality do get the results he is looking for.

Background: Growing up thirty years behind his older sister, Sylindra, Rivaron always felt like he had a lot of catching up to do. And Sylindra always had a way of reminding him of that fact. A rivalry grew between them fairly quickly and while most of the time it was all healthy competition, the fun and games started to get under his skin. They trained together, fought side by side, and when push came to shove, Sylindra almost always trounced him. It made him bitter towards the way the Thalerith live. In struggle, strength. It never seemed to click for him. Some time before the Mortal Strife, Rivaron found a priest of Baridon, and everything started to make sense to him once more.

He traveled away from their home land in the Sand Dunes of Nashari and wound up in the port city of Loramar among the Aeran Kinship. He found himself wandering in to the Shrine there and met a Priest of Baridon. That priest spoke to him of Oaths, bound in blood. And the importance of living a steadfast life, abiding by one's commitments. And how fulfilling it can be to know your direction in life, and know that Baridon's Oaths give you a map to living a strong, meaningful life. He dedicated himself to their cause right then and joined the priesthood as an initiate. But his time among the shrine would be short. The Host arrived and he returned home to help his people fight back against them on the desert front.

Now that they are in Aarandor, so much has changed. He was shocked at the sight of Baridon's shrine when they arrived in Thelos. And when Falron was asked to help keep Thelos safe, Rivaron knew his calling was to be at his side in the Blood Templars, keeping the City of Shrines safe.

Relationship Summary

  • Aleandra - My grandmother was always more interested in my sister than I, and considered what Sylindra has accomplished, I don't blame her. I'm sure I must be a disappointment to her, but she says very little of it to me that I simply do not know. Her eyes, however, are very telling in what she thinks of my choices.
  • Joran - He's grown to be a fine young warrior, although I haven't been able to be there for him to help him shape him. I don't think he needs me either, considering he is my sister's son. But, there are times I wish I have been there for him and my nieces both.
  • Lyandra - She's so sweet, and that I feel will bring her great pain. I don't know if the kinships are ready to be united under one Ithiriel yet again, but she certainly seems to think so.

  • Ally:
  • Falron - Commander Falron is a man I find I could follow to my death if he asked me to. And I know he would never ask lightly. Thelos will remain a place of peace under our watch.

  • Sibling:
  • Sylindra - You've grown in to the warrior the Thalerith need to lead them. And I am happy for you truly. But I am needed elsewhere. Though you may not have my blade you will always have my support.

  • Ally:
  • Catlith - The High Priest of Baridon is a fair woman, who is willing to listen when needed and willing to offer her counsel when asked for. I know she fears for our future, with the silence of our god, but I also know she can be the key to help us secure such future.

  • Friend:
  • Aganor - Diplomacy is his way, and he's made it a point to not get in the way of the differences between my sister and I. And even when she does not want to talk to me, Aganor has never pushed me away. I don't know that he understands me, what drives me to be a Templar, but it doesn't seem like he judges me for it either. I trust that if I'm needed, he'll know to call me.
