Right Hand Xalor Marindur
Leave it to me, I'll see it done.
Description: Of average height and build, the most remarkable thing about them is their callused hands, rough from working the rigging at sea. Their fingers and backs of their dark-skinned hands are adorned in the sacred dots and patterns of the Aeran Kin. Hazel eyes look smartly out of a squarely jawed face where another tattoo sits below their right eye. Their raven-black hair is plaited into many locks which they keep tied back from their face.
Personality: Although young, Xalor shows a wisdom beyond their years with introspective insights and a quiet confidence. They are utterly trustworthy, almost to the point of Baridon's standards of oaths and loyalty. They can be counted on to do what they say and do it well. Xalor is the type to never tell a lie, nor to sugar-coat the truth, but to offer a gentle perspective on the subject. They have a knack for finding the right person for the job and seeing that the authority to act is given when needed.
Background: Being born into the extended family of the Ithiriel Elexia set a high standard of expectations for the Marindur family, and Xalor was someone that strove to embody them. Trustworthy. Reasonable. Rational. They grew up in the seas surrounding their home, learning to sail as soon as they learned to walk. Sea chanties became a pleasant part of their childhood and they learned many a song down at the docks as they coiled rope and climbed the rigging.
They were only in their thirties when the Mortal Strife struck, and the Host descended upon the elven Kins. They did what they could to help the shipbuilders of the Aeran prepare, as their Aunt Elexia struggled to unite the people on the dangerous journey at Aereth's urging. Although Xalor wanted to ride at her side, it was a blessing that they were not lost on her ship.
Xalor continued to keep a level head as they grew older, helping their siblings with the family's growth and settling in to the exciting new land which Aerath had brought them to. They were the staunch rock to their sister's enthusiasm. It was Volith who guided Xalor to be Rythadrien's right hand, the steady hand at the wheel who would guide them through the storms ahead.
