Description: Like most Aeran kin, her skin is weathered and tanned from her days on the sea, marked with the ritual tattoos which tell her tale. She has the toned shoulders and arms of one who works a bow, with perfect posture drawing her head high. Eyes a stormy grey watch the world out of a rounded face, where an easy smile always can be found.

Personality: Darinel is an archer and that philosophy of keen precision guides her life. An archer must take into consideration every factor before loosing a shot; the arrow, the bow, the target, the weather, the lighting... and yet even with all that there is still the guidance that the Gods themselves give. In the end, it is truly their decision. She believes she is the arrow the Gods have set on a path which she will follow to the end.

Background: Darinel knew her calling would be to lead the Alcaldia family. Her mother was the Wave Whisperer and had her duties. So she was brought up to respect the Gods, Aereth in particular, and to be ready to lead their waterfaring family when that time came. Yet she could not stop herself from her true passion for the bow. She found she had no talent for watershaping but could take down a target from afar with grace and precision. She loved the thrill of the hunt, to sneak up silently on a target and then skewer them before they could launch into the sky or sea.

But such idyllic pastimes came to an end when she was in her mid hundreds and her father died, the duties of house Alcaldia truly falling to her. She would have to be the one to manage their holdings and keep a level head to her mother's tide-in and tide-out ways. This gave her sister freedom but at her own expense. Her time at the coastal shores hunting birds and game was at an end.

The Gods, Aereth in particular, have her on a path she is sure of. Guide and guard their family in this strange new land. And sometimes, just sometimes... steal a little time for herself. Not every arrow flies true all the time.
