Elder Alethia Reid
The heart is a lonely hunter.
Description: Alethia is slender and graceful but she moves slowly, navigating the world as if it were constantly new to her. Her hair is an odd muted honey color that looks brown when it's wet with snow- which is often- and her full mouth and eyebrows give her a decisive, almost haughty cast. Her skin is only a little tan but it's dusted with freckles, and her eyes are a bright, deep amber. She has a long scar behind one of her ears that she is usually careful to hide with her long hair.
(Alethia looks pale, her dark blonde hair loose and undone.)
Personality: Alethia is withdrawn without being apathetic. She isn't unkind, but lacks deep relationships with her kin even by the standards of the Faenor. Preferring the open air and quiet, she struggles to connect with other elves and only truly lights up when discussing the mysteries of the constellations, magic, and plant life. Her temper is rare but burns cold. She dislikes talking about her childhood or her parents.
Background: Not many details are known about Alethia Reid's childhood. After she suffered both an injury and the deaths of her parents during the Third Migration, Alethia was taken in as Vella Reid's own daughter- a cousin of her mother's. Although the last half-century has seen an expansion of her skillset in magic, plant-lore and astrology, the still-young elf has grown more isolated from even the rest of her family, enduring the premature death of her first bonded wolf shortly after the Faenor settled in Khelgar and having subsequently retreated, gradually, from the company of other elves. She has grown adept in many survival skills, ambitious to prove herself a credit to her kinship despite her melancholy reserve.
