Kinlector Erotas Egilion
The written word can be lost - as has been proven time and again. A thousand words given to a thousand elves may end with ten thousand variations, but the truth in them grows even as the facts become obscured.
Description: Erotas is a small man with a big personality. His voice always carries a musical note to it. He often uses pigments to dye his hair or make markings along his skin, all ever changing. His voice often gives him away before his soft footing does. His whole posture seems relaxed at all times as if inviting others to relax alongside him.
Personality: An amicable fellow with a keen desire to listen to any story. He seems to focus in on another with discerning eyes and an easy smile. While he'll read easily enough, he'd rather listen to someone explain their own take on it.
Background: A scion of a branch of the Egilion who hoped to preserve knowledge through oral tradition alongside their libraries, Erotas spent his early years learning the proper way to tell sing a story. When he eventually married his Thalerith husband, Denock, he brought him into his family. They had three children in the time they had together.
But Denock was a Harbinger, and when they brought him in, Erotas could do nothing to stop it. He focused on his attention on what he could to build a better life for those that came after him. When Thelos was established, he found that hope.
The loss of his daughter Phelobas in the flood of the Duindar settlement brought him low for some time. It was only with the crisis of the fury of the blood god that he finally was motivated again to get out there, if only to record the fears, hopes, and actions of others.
