The voice of the sea speaks to the soul.
Description: Midnight hair falls in a tumble of waves down her back when not caught up in a braid. Oftentimes, it is decorated with bits of shell or other jetsom found on the beach. Light dusky skin competes with the thickly lashed eyes of pale aqua that reflect her emotions, sparkling with mirth or dark as a storm-head when angry. Full lips always seem to be smiling, sometimes smirking, as if she knows some hidden secret, while an elegant slant of a nose that sits atop those lips finishes filling out the features that sit within the beautiful heart-shaped face. Tall and slim, yet holding obvious curves, her form shows a strength that is often hidden. Like so many of the Reymar family, she is not without her tattooes - from those that can be seen upon her hands and arms, to even one swirl upon her left cheekbone near her eye. Surely there are others that are hidden beneath her clothing.
Personality: Sometimes, one isn't so sure just how she might act. Flighty in some ways. Mericurial in others. Surely her attitude hides a smart woman. To those she's given her friendship, there could be no more loyal friend than she.
Background: Gaeryl is the youngest of four daughters, born during peaceful times. Her father, while noble, owned warehouses and ships engaged in import and export. Not only did she learn about shipping, but she learned as well, about selling what was brought in.
Through the years, she went out on ships, and also followed her father on his buying trips, bringing back items that would sell in various shops at different ports. Little did some know, her father was not above dealing in the blackmarket either! Drugs, weapons, even the occasional slave, sometimes found their way through his warehouses.
When she was in her 200s, her father secured a marriage to a younger son of a friend of his. They were only married a couple of years before her husband was killed one night, a mugging turned deadly. She doesn't speak of him, nor has she sought another husband out over the years since then.
Her parents were both lost during the Mortal Strife, dying within a month of one another. Various other members of her family did not make it either.
When the migration came, she was quick to throw her lot in with the head of her Family, supplying whatever was needed, and helping to stock the ships with what they might need when they reached the other side. Not all her family made it across, and those that remain, have made their place in their new homes.
Since making it to the shores, she's picked up where she left off, managing to gain some fame as a smuggler and procurer of whatever a person might want or need... as long as they got the means to pay.
